Bridgette Murphy

Ms. Murphy is Managing Director and COO of AGE-WELL. She has been pivotal in the development and execution of AGE-WELL’s strategic plan from network funding application (2013-2014) through network incorporation (2014) and renewal (2020). Ms. Murphy has more than 15 years of program management and research operations experience. Prior to joining AGE-WELL, she managed the Strategic Policy and Research Communications (SPARC) unit at the Kite research institute, part of the University Health Network, where she also worked as the institute’s liaison to the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. In this role, she was responsible for oversight of Ministry-directed research projects, supporting the development of strategic institutional grants, as well as implementing Kite’s research accountability framework to track and report on research impact. She received her undergraduate degree in behavioural neuroscience at McGill University followed by a Master’s degree specializing in social policy and health equity from the University of Toronto. She completed executive development training through the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
