AGE-WELL announces new Board appointments

AGE-WELL is delighted to welcome two distinguished leaders to our Board of Directors. Andrea Daly and Jessica Tan bring a wealth of experience and insight that will help guide AGE-WELL’s continued leadership in aging and technology.

Andrea Daly

Andrea Daly was a Managing Director and General Counsel of Onex Corporation, a large publicly-traded investment firm and asset manager, for 20 years until late 2023.  She was a core member of Onex’s leadership team throughout the company’s growth from a North American-focused private equity investor to a global, diversified private equity and credit management firm. Ms. Daly brings to the Board deep experience in corporate governance, public and private capital markets, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation and human capital and technology transformation programs.

Prior to joining Onex, she was a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, a leading business law firm. Ms. Daly is a member of the Board of Directors of CCL Industries Inc., a global specialty packaging business headquartered in Canada, and of the Board’s Nominating & Governance Committee (as Chair) and Human Resources Committee.

Ms. Daly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Western University. She also completed the Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D program at the Rotman School of Management in 2012 and the Institute’s Board Oversight of Climate Change program in 2025.

Jessica Tan

Jessica Tan is President of Sun Life Canada. She is responsible for leading Sun Life’s business in its home market, driving continued growth as a leader in health, wealth and protection for Canadians.

Ms. Tan is widely recognized as a transformative leader. She held a top 5 ranking on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women for 5 consecutive years (2019 – 2023) and has been recognized as one of Forbes’ The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women since 2019.

She is a highly accomplished executive with extensive global experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Before joining Sun Life, Ms. Tan served as co-CEO of Ping An, one of Asia’s largest insurance companies. She also previously held the roles of COO and CIO. Prior to that she was a partner at McKinsey where she worked in over 13 countries.

Ms. Tan is an active leader in the global community and is passionate about the intersection of health and technology. She sits on several global boards and advisory committees including AGE-WELL, National Healthcare Group, Asia Society, Singapore Central Provident Fund, Oxford Blavtatnik School of Government, SEA (Southeast Asia’s largest gaming, e-commerce and fintech company), Coincheck (Japan’s largest crypto platform), and the Global Finance & Technology Network.

She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Master in electrical engineering and computer science, and Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and economics.
