Dieter Fox

Dieter Fox is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington (UW). He completed his PhD in the Computer Science Department at the University of Bonn and joined the University of Washington faculty in 2000. Dr. Fox’s research interests lie in artificial intelligence, robotics and probabilistic state estimation. He is the Director of the UW Robotics and State Estimation Lab. From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Fox was Director of the Intel Research Lab Seattle, and he currently serves as the academic PI of the Intel Science and Technology Center for Pervasive Computing.
