Join us for the 2024 AGE-WELL Annual Conference taking place on October 23 and 24 in Edmonton, Alberta. The theme of this year’s AGE-WELL conference is Shared Visions, Shared Futures: Transforming Aging Together, featuring the latest research along with inspiring discussions on current issues by global and Canadian thought leaders.

Hosted by AGE-WELL, Canada’s technology and aging network, the AGE-WELL Annual Conference showcases a multi-disciplinary program of research and innovation from across the country and provides a forum for networking and collaboration among AGE-WELL partners (in industry, government, academia and the community), researchers, stakeholders and members of the public. Presentations, discussions and networking sessions are designed to maximize knowledge sharing.

In addition, the envisAGE 2nd Annual Forum will be held on October 23, 2024, co-located in Edmonton alongside the AGE-WELL Conference. Co-hosted byMEDTEQ+ and AGE-WELL, the envisAGE Forum is dedicated to the commercialization and integration of AgeTech solutions. Dominic Carter

CEO, The Carter Group / Living Best

Dominic Carter came to Japan from Australia in the late ’90s to launch the Japan business of a global consumer research consultancy. In 2003, he started what is now The Carter Group, a diversified organisation serving the needs of international businesses looking to realise ambitious goals in the Japanese market.

As well as being a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Carter is a lecturer, guest speaker, trainer, consultant, and commentator on all matters related to consumer insights methodology, social mega-trends, and the contemporary ageing Japanese consumer.

In 2022, he co-founded Living Best, a community network comprising leading-edge mature consumers, start-ups, and professionals focused on making age-tech user-friendly and widely accepted. Living Best’s goal is to transform the aging experience in Japan and beyond through the mass adoption of technology created for and co-created by its users.

Call for Abstracts for AGE-WELL2024 is Open!

AGE-WELL is pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for the AGE-WELL Annual Conference taking place October 23-24 in Edmonton, Alberta at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Edmonton South Conference Centre. Abstracts may be submitted for poster, oral or demo presentations. The submission deadline has been extended to August 2, 2024.

Rising Stars in AgeTech Early Career Researcher (ECR) Stream

AGE-WELL is pleased to announce Rising Stars in AgeTech, an early career researchers (ECR)-focused stream of the 2024 AGE-WELL Annual Conference that will showcase the outstanding research conducted by ECRs across Canada and enable mentorship and networking to create a fertile ground for collaboration and knowledge exchange. ECRs who apply to the poster, oral (10-minute) and pre-commercial demo presentation streams are invited to indicate their interest in participating in the Rising Stars in AgeTech stream. How to Submit

New this year, abstracts will be submitted through AGE-WELL’s Oxford Abstracts Portal. Applicants must have an Oxford Abstracts account to submit a conference abstract. The steps for accessing AGE-WELL’s Oxford Abstracts Portal with or without an existing account are detailed here.
