Technology Use and Attitudes towards Aging among Older Canadians during COVID-19: New Poll Results
Date:
November 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm ET

Description:

What kind of technologies and online services are older adults embracing during COVID-19? How has the pandemic affected attitudes towards aging? In this webinar, we share findings from a recent AGE-WELL survey of 2,026 Canadians over the age of 50 on a range of topics related to technology, aging and COVID-19. Conducted by Environics Research, the poll offers hard numbers and intriguing insights into how older Canadians are using technology in these challenging times.

Webinar participants will:

  • Learn about key findings, including data on use of smartphones, the Internet, social media, online services and telehealth
  • Explore what the findings mean for the development of new technologies to support older adults, and implications for the AgeTech sector
  • Meet an older adult who is using more technology during the pandemic
Speakers:
  • Ahsan Sadiq, Director of Market Insights, Health & Wellness, Environics Research,
  • Andrew Sixsmith, Scientific Director, AGE-WELL,
  • Judy Tinning, older adult/retired secondary school teacher
