Arthritis affects people in ways that can be endlessly challenging. The physical effects of swelling, pain and stiffness in joints can interfere with daily activities. Innovators are tackling these challenges with technology-based solutions. For Arthritis Awareness Month, we’ll spotlight two novel technological approaches designed to make a difference in the lives of people living with arthritis. Webinar participants will:
- Hear from a top arthritis clinician-researcher who is developing a wearable device that hooks up to a smartphone to help understand and thus manage arthritis pain and flares
- Find out about a novel device that assists people with limited hand mobility to write, paint, draw and access technology
- Meet an older adult living with arthritis who will share personal insights and experiences, and what it means to make technologies user friendly.
