Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations among older adults, with 20 to 30 per cent of older Canadians experiencing a fall each year – often with life-changing consequences. This month, to mark Falls Prevention Month, we will explore how technology is giving researchers a clearer understanding of why older adults fall, and what can be done to prevent it.
Webinar participants will:
- Discover what science is now revealing about who is most at risk of falling
- Explore new technological approaches that promise a better understanding of when and why older adults fall
- Learn what we know about preventing falls and avoiding injury
