Description:
Television is often seen as passive entertainment, but new research suggests that dementia-friendly TV videos can be powerful tools for enhancing the well-being of individuals with moderate to severe dementia. This presentation explores the perspectives of nurses and healthcare providers on the use of these videos in long-term care and hospital settings. Through key findings from focus groups, we will examine how TV videos can calm distress, foster social connections, support daily activities, and reignite personal memories. Join us to discover how this simple intervention is reshaping dementia care through person-centred, non-pharmacological approaches.
