
Noelannah Neubauer
Noelanah has served on multiple committees over the last 10 years. She served as a West-Central representative from 2017-2020 followed by serving as vice president 2020-2021 for the AGE-WELL HQP Advisory Committee. She was a board member from 2018-2022 with the Alberta Association on Gerontology, and was co-chair of the Rapid Response Working Group with the Alzheimer Society of Ontario from 2018-2022. More recently, she has been the co-chair of the Early Career Advisory Council with Allied Health through Alberta Health Services since 2022.
Noelannah brings expertise from many different angles. She was an HQP with AGE-WELL as a trainee researcher since AGE-WELL’s inception in 2015. She has also been working as an occupational therapist for the last 3 years, currently working as an Occupational Therapist System Case Manager with home care in Edmonton (Alberta Health Services). This role includes intensive case management and implementing assistive technologies for complex seniors being discharged home from across Edmonton Zone’s 8 hospitals. Over the last 5 years she has also become heavily involved as a primary caregiver for 3 of her grandparents (83,92, and 95 years of age) whom remain in the community and also live in Edmonton.
Noelannah has worked as a researcher over the last 10 years designing and implementing technologies designed for older adults and caregivers, particularly through past projects such as digital storytelling, virtual gym, and technologies that address wandering among persons living with dementia. Now, she regularly recommends technologies for clients in home care as a system case manager and occupational therapist.
