Cristina Getson

I am a PhD Candidate in Robotics with a specialization in psychology in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on human-robot interaction, ethics, and AI in healthcare, making technology understandable, useful, and accessible to the end user. Through researching the psychology of human-robot interactions, my goal is to design social robots to help vulnerable populations, such as older adults, maintain and potentially improve their cognitive skills, positively impacting their well-being.
